Younique Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes Review

Hello! Today I wanted to review Younique Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes. Fiber lashes have been becoming pretty popular and more brands are coming out with their own version. Lauren was nice enough to send me a couple of Younique products to try. I had been wanting to try fiber lashes for a while, and was thrilled when she asked me.

I applied the fiber lashes to my right eye (left side in picture) and just used one coat of mascara on the other. As you can tell there is a pretty big different. The fiber lashes give quite a bit of volume and extra length.

The product come in a nice hard case. It looks like a case for sunglasses. It comes with the Transplanting Gel and Natural Fibers. To apply, you start by applying a thin layer of a mascara of your choice. After it dries, apply the transplanting gel evenly to your lashes. While that is still wet, apply the fibers. Then, seal them with another coat of the transplanting gel.  I only apply one coat, but the directions say you can apply another layer of fibers if desired. Just make sure to set each layer with another coat of transplanting gel. I didn't have too many issues with the fibers falling onto my cheek, but whenever I did they easily wipe away. It took me a few tries to find the best method to apply it. The first couple of times I found that it gave nice length, but not too much volume. Focusing more on base of my lashes with the transplanting gel and the fibers fixed that problem. This product is $29.

Lauren also sent me a mineral pigment in the color Sexy, a shimmery, light gold color. I have been wearing this on top of Maybelline's Color Tattoo in barely branded. It looks really nice with a light brown color in the crease. I don't normally like to use loose pigments because they are a mess, but this color is too pretty not to use. I did find that it creased throughout the day, but I do have fairly oily skin and have that issue with other brands as well. This product is $10. I tried to take a picture of the eye look I do with this pigment, but I couldn't get the coloring to look right unfortunately.

(Left-over barely branded, Right-alone)

Final impression: I am impressed with the fiber lashes. I am not one who wears false lashes, so this product is perfect to make a night time look more dramatic. I love how it makes my eyes look. They last all day and come off easily with makeup remove. It is a bit pricey, but I would recommend this product if you are looking to make your lashes a bit more dramatic.

I wore the fiber lashes at a wedding last weekend. This product is wearable, but there is still a difference. If you are interested in checking out the fiber lashes or pigments click here.
